Dr. Kelly

President & CEO of Derek D Kelly Ministries and Kelly Consulting Solutions, LLC.

Dr. Derek D. Kelly is a native of Salisbury, NC, and currently resides in Thomasville, NC. He only son of Parnell and Marianne Kelly and the oldest of three. Dr. Kelly was introduced to music by his grandfather at the age of 5. At the age of 13, he played professionally for various area churches. He is an accomplished songwriter and musician having received numerous awards for his musical achievements.

Dr. Kelly received an Associate of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies from the Full Gospel Baptist College and completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Religion and Philosophy from Shaw University, graduating summa cum laude. He has also completed Masters of Religion classes at Liberty University School of Divinity in Lynchburg, VA. Recently, he received an honorary Doctorate of Divinity degree from the Board of Trustees of Zoe Fellowship Bible College.

Dr. Kelly is certified as a highly qualified teacher with the state of North Carolina teaching Middle School English and Social Studies. He has taught in the Lexington City Schools District and is currently teaching in the Guilford County Schools District. For the school year of 2023-2024, he was recognized for being in the blue status and exceeding growth.

Dr. Kelly has served in several capacities of leadership. He has served as a supervisor in the sanding and veneer departments for Lexington Furniture Company, Plant 7. He has served as the District and State Director of Christian Education for the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship. He has served as the Department Chair of Social Studies, a member of the Instructional Leadership Team, and the Chairperson of the School Improvement Team at Lexington Middle School. He has served as a member of the Superintendent’s Advisory Team for Lexington City Schools.

Dr. Kelly has served the Lexington and Davidson County community as an activist and advocate. He has served as the past president of the Lexington Community Ministers Conference, the past chairman of Focus on Leadership of Davidson County, the past vice-chairman of the Davidson County Partnership for Children, a former board member of the North Carolina Partnership for Children, a past board member of Lexington Housing CDC, a past board member of Davidson County Community Action, a past committee member of Wards Work Well, a past board member of Hospice of Davidson County, a graduate of Leadership of Davidson County, a former monthly columnist for the Lexington Dispatch newspaper of which he served for 9 years, and was appointed by the mayor of Lexington to serve on a special Homeowners Committee.

Dr. Kelly serves as the Senior Pastor of New Faith Full Gospel Fellowship Center in Lexington, NC. He is the CEO of Kingdom Impact Ministries Apostolic Network, Inc., Derek D Kelly Ministries, Inc., and Kelly Consulting Solutions LLC. He has authored his first book entitled ‘Processed for the Promise’. He has been married for the past 35 years to his lovely wife, Kimberly Darlene Kelly. Together they have three children and two grandchildren. Dr. Kelly believes that family is not just an important thing; it is everything.
